[Song] Romeo ft. Marques houston - Special Girl

oh wow..it's been along time since i've blogged man!

there's been alot going on recently.

Been visting friends and trainers houses for chinese new year and working after school, hence the delays in updating.

For Chinese new years, i've visited, Eunice, Mrs. Ong and Vincents house. I'll be going to visit my 2 uncles this week. My red pocket collection this year has been horrible, lol!

Saturday, i went to a Event Catering @ Rosette with Wei Ching, Vanus, Glenn, Michele, Zhan Yi and Alan. Oh man, the food was horrible. The main course was a bit better but the 3 courses before was...yuck! after that, alan and i, headed to butterfactory with elliott. That was another disappointment. There was no crowd and there were some horrible break dancers having a competition. Just a horrible day.

that's it..i'm too tired now..gonna head to bed!

here are some pix for y'all...peace!

I learned to make dumplings muhahaha!

fuck you and GOH to hell!

here is an e-mail that has been circulated around our class lastnight.

"Dear ALL

I am truly sad to see the attitudes that is put into your studies. I did have high hopes and perhaps in this regards perhap I was just too HIGH on my hopes.

BUT given the nature of the class ie ( rather spent more time talking away ) as witnessed after my briefing on the results. I would rather we ALL take a short break ie NO CLASSES for the whole of this week.

By and large in view of the original timetable we need not have timetable because of the New Year break. BUT as time is running short I took every trouble to start the class immediately after CNY.

However given the attitudes of the class toward your own studies I DO NOT see any importance to pursue your interest when the class is NOT responding by working together as a TEAM.

Hope this week will make you realise whether you still wish to have the lesson or you rather spent 30% or more of your time on TALKING in class.

So once again I will NOT be meeting the class tomorrow or Friday unless the class have decided that given the few weeks left and the remaining of the chapters we ALL wants to work together to achieve a BETTER RESULT for the FINAL EXAM.

David"

so what do you think?

My thoughts?

well, since day one i've thought this trainer was an arrogant, cocky and bias motherfucker!

I've never liked him, but i still respected him as as a trainer, by helping out with computer issues. He's smart, no doubt but he has no sense of communication skills.

The way he talks about his accomplishments and areas he has travelled really ticks me and my classmates off. (most of them atleast)

I've travelled to more places then he can imagine, but you don't see me going around gloating to everyone. So what if he's been to most parts of China, Asia and Europe, it doesn't give him the right to talk to people the way he does.

Eg. "Hey, Burmese community" or "Hey Malay Community"

YES! i am guilty of calling nelson, burmese at times, but i don't do it everytime i see him.

anyways, i'm tired of talking about this trainer. Though this post could have been much longer , i don't find a point to waste more time and energy on a person like him.

I'll be updating about CNY tmr night or sat. Take care!

Peace!

Eve of CNY

It was a great and wonderful time spent yesterday with Liang, her mom and aunt.

Despite the communication problems, culture gap and age gaps, this was the most memorable, fulfilling and best learning experience i've ever had during any Lunar New year. Liang's Aunt, didn't know me at all, but she opened her home to me - whole heartedly. It was great. The food was amazing!

Past Chinese New Year celebrations, start and end at a banquet dinner. After dinner, we would take the youngin's out for a drink or what nots. It's boring, it's reptitive and there's no excitement.

This year was an exception. I've been enlightened to a new way of clebrating Chinese New Years. The way Liang and her family/friends celebrated really made my view on chinese new years different. The way they come together, talk and hand-make food was really an insight.

They showed me a tradition, that many practice in asia, something that really differs from back home. I have just been exposed to something new, something exciting.

I love to learn about new cultures and traditions, but when it comes to chinese traditions and all, i can truthfully say that i dislike them. I don't know why this is. It may be the fact that chinese people love to eleaborate on many things and some of their beliefs and superstitions are a bit over the borad, so to speak. However, after lastnight, my views on some chinese cultures, have changed. I now know that i must look on EVEN MORE brighter sides of things.

I've grown up in an environment that does not celebrate chinese new years. The asian community, back home in canada, try their best to make it as lively as possible, but it's sad to say that, it's not the greatest. Many traditions and cultures are lost within our western society.

Thx Liang Liang, her mom, her aunt and her friends for giving me a night i shall never forget. Even though i didn't really say anything because of the language problems, but it was an experience i will never forget. and thx for teaching me to make dumplings, haha!

Some pix and vidz...

The food was just amazing! thx auntie!

MMM...I was so stuffed!

These cookies were made by my friend Shirley (From Diploma in Pastry Baking)..They tasted wicked! sad to say, there are no more haha! the white ones were my favorite. Thx Shirley, I appreciated it so much!

I, Liang and a new friend, Nicole @ Lunar New Year Eve Dinner!

Again, I, Liang and Nicole!

We were making dumplings. It was so fun! Though embarrassing to say, but i do suck in wrapping dumplings lol!

the past, present & future!

[Song] Justin Lo - Front Page News (Wicked track)

The past:

the past is the past, end of story. No use thinking about it, correct? well, that's what i always tell myself! but recently i can't stop thinking about alot of things.

first off, and most importantly, my friends back home. Yes, Canada will always be the place i call home, no matter where in this world i'll be. My friends back home, played the biggest part in my life and there are some things that i've done that can never be forgiven. I understand, truth comes with pain and hurts. I need move on, as do they, but it hurts to know that some issues will never be reconciled.

secondly, past women issues are haunting me, yet again! it the fear of rejection and fear of women is coming back. It's true that i am able to make a fool of myself whenever i please, but when it comes to women, i'm the biggest sissy of them all. Anyways, i was thinking about alot of girls that hurt me in the past. Thinking about it helps me become stronger. I know if i use these thoughts to my advantage, i will have the strength to move forward and i'll gain a upper hand in society.

Lastly, i miss all the fun my friends and I had. I always like to look at toronto's clubbing scene, just to catch a glimpse of what's happening and to remember all the good times we've had. I miss all the times, chilling, drinking, karaoke and so forth. They were times, that will never be forgotten!

Things, are different back home. People change, mindsets change and thoughts change. I know, even if i were to go back now, things would be utterly different. Though i really do wish, one day, i may see my friends once again. However, it seems it may be a long way down the road.

I gotta stop thinking about the past and start looking forward.

I must followm y motto: 'never look back at the past and never regret'

sometimes i forget and i need to keep reminding myself, just so i can fall asleep! sub-consiously, i guess i may never be able to let go.

-

The present:

The present currently looks very bright. I guess because i see myself having a stable career, a future.

Though issues like money are blocking me from alot of stuff right now, i won't let it bother me. I know it's difficult to accomplish something without money, but i won't let it effect me emotionally. Times are hard all around.

the most saddening thing is that i don't have a campanion by my side. seems to me that i'm destined to be alone. Is it that hard? i believe i have many good points, how come no one can see it? i wonder...there must be something blocking me from happiness. Though life needs to move on, so if i'm suppose to be alone, then so be it!

Who knows, maybe in the near near future, something may come along? hm..
-

The future:

I see myself with a stable career.

But at the rate things are currently going, it may be a long time before anything starts to settle in. I'm young, ambitious and clever. Many people are threatened by this, so i must work hard to overcome these obstacles. I must gain what i want and fight for what i believe in.

The only, that i can't see right now, is having a warm and loving family. The type of family that i didn't have growing up. It has effected me emotionally and mentally. it is because of the way i grew up and was raised that i am the person i am today.

I will not allow this to happen to my children in the future. Children need love and care, especially during their youngest ages. I will build the family that i never had. I will be the 'world's greatest dad', so to speak. I will give everything i can and everything that I, as a child, didn't have.

My future, looks 50/50, but i'm sure if i'm determined, everything wil work out perfect!

-

Though thios post is about the past, presnt and future, it seems that the only related issues are, love.

Why is that?

Am i unknowingly writing this because of depressing love issues?

my mind seems to be in more deep thought now, then before i wrote this post.

fuck!

I got myself in a mess! shit!

i'm out yo. peace!

school, cny and valentines!

I don't know what's going on with me these days.

I can't seem to find the strength to go to school anymore. Everyweek since school started, i've been absent atleast 1 day of the week. I may be able to explain for the past 2 weeks, but the rest is unexplainable. Maybe i'm still stuck on the holiday moods from december.

All i know is that, this semester is getting all fucked up, because of my lack of responsibilities!

As for the past 2 weeks, something has been on my mind and in my heart. I don't want to say the issues, and plz don't come asking me, 'what's wrong.' when or if, i want to discuss the issues, i shall seek help on my own.

I need to get back on my feet and start realising again, what i want from my life. I need to do some heavy reflection! I hope i can resolve as many issues within the Chinese New Year period!

-

Chinese new years is around the corner.

Gong Hey Fat Choi/Gong Xi Fa Cai

to the chinese community.

I really hate CNY! the music, the red and the crowds...all put together make me sick. I love the red packets (haha) but i hate most of the traditions that come with it. I hate the fact that you have to buy new clothes, visit almost everyone and listen to that horrible chinese music.

Though I dislike CNY, i'm not the type to ruin it for all. I will still follow some of the traditions, such as, going to visit family and friends, just to bring up some of the festive spirits around me.

I'm too westernized already. things like this never bring me any excitement. i'm never happy for cny at all!

-

Happy Valentines day to all you couples!

Happy Anti-Valentines to all those who are single or dislike valentines!

AGAIN! i feel valentines day is day for retail shops, flower shops and restaurants to jack up their prices and earn big bucks from poor ppl!

To me it's a gimmick, but there's no chice, in order to please your loved ones, you must do something sweet and nice for them.

Out of 365 days a year, are we limited to show how much we care and love for someone on 1 day out of the year? Does this give us the right, not to go for a romantic dinner, give a gift of love and spend a night together for the rest of the year? it's weird that people will go all out for 1 day and forget about the rest of the 364 days that are left. think about that.

Love should be shown everyday for every second, not just for 1 day!

-
anyways,

I feel like i'm an anti-everything when it comes to festivals and special occassions. Though it may be true, never fear, i will never spoil the moment for the people around me!

I'm sorry to Mat, for cancelling this day. I really wanted to take you out for dinner tonight, but something came up, Sorry!

I'm out peace!

add to previous post

i need to correct myself on the previous post.

rap is not just a style, there are rap style music as well.

For example, there is gangsta rap and north, south, west and east side rap. Gangsta rap speaks for it itself, whereas the north, south, west and east style rap is different.

The 4 directions, are forms of different rap, as well as, beats. Each category comes with their own style, which is can be very similar, or very different.

Also, rap music, is different then hip-hop. Rap music talks more about hate, sex and/or disses etc. Hip-hop concentrates more on culture and truth, though their topics may also include hate, sex etc.

So, don't be fooled by the type of music is being produced. They may sound similar in beat and rhyme, but if listened to carefully, you can tell which category the song belongs to.

-

Okay, on to other news.

I'm going for an interview at Rasa Sentosa By Shangri-La. I hope i will do well. I'm afraid that they take one look at me and they will have decided their judgement. It's sad that many trainees may not even get a chance to shine because of the first impression.

Wish me luck...and on my Business Stats test tmr as well..

it's gonna be a tough day.

peace!

hip hop, rnb or club bangers?

[Song] Tupac - Changes (one of his hottest tracks released!)

I've realised that i haven't been listening to Hip-hop or RnB music recently.

The past few months, i've been updating my MP3 library with mando/canto pop music.

I feel that i've lost a connection with reality. I started listening to some Tupac and Notorious BIG a few hours ago, and i noticed that Hip-Hop music plays a part in my life. Listening to stories about truth and realityreally makes me think. Without it, I seem to lose track of what's 'real'.

Don't get me wrong, i do enjoy pop hits and canto/mando songs, but they just don't seem to send the msg that i'm looking for. Most of these songs contain lyrics about love or issues that are not so important. However, Hip-Hop music, tells a story.
It tells the listener, about hardships in the ghettos, drugs, gangs, poverty and the occassional bitch/hoe. Though the lyrics contain alot of profanity, atleast the rapper is telling it how it is.

The issues mentioned in a Hip-Hop tune is something that alot of Singaporeans or ppl in asia don't understand and probably wouldn't ever be able to relate to. As for me, growing up in Canada, there were alot of things that i've seen and many things that i've been through, that allows me to relate to some of these rappers.

Hip-Hop is a culture to the people that can appreciate it. It's like learning about a new countries culture. But for Hip-Hop it is about learning about a culture that can be experienced all over the world.

A few months back, i've introduced some artists to my friend, Alan. I don't know if he can appreciate what is being said or not, but he had the heart to listen and approach me to find out what is in the msgs of Hip-Hop music.

Is music that important? Well to me, Yes! To many others, they probably just enjoy listening to music to past time or relax.

Many get the misconception about Hip-Hop, Rap and RnB music.

Here is the difference.

1) Hip-hop music is about life, truth and reality. They can range from being a kid growing up to the matters around in politics. Hip-hop is appreciated, only if you are willing to understand the lyrics and feel what the artist has to say. It is a culture that many will never be able to experience. It is music that has meaning.

Example of hip hop artists' would be:

Tupac, Notorious BIG, Talib Kwali, Mos Def.

2) Rap is not an actual form of music, it's a style. Rap is the form of rhyming in speed that most individuals can't reach. To reach the speeds of a rapper takes alot of training. The words must be pronounced in full, even though you may not understand them. Twista, being one of the fastest rappers around in the industry, can spit rhymes in rapid speeds.

Example of rappers would be:

Twista, 50 Cent, Eminem.

*Almost all rappers are hip-hop artists.*

3) RnB is an acronym for Rhythem and Blues. Many disregard Club banging hits to be RnB music. To tell you the truth, it's not. RnB music is meant to discuss about love, families, heart brakes and hardships. true RnB is music that can make you think and/or cry.

Usher, being one of the worlds renowned RnB artists around, is a talented vocalist. But many of his tracks, like the most popular, Yeah! is not real RnB. I regard these tracks to be categorised into Club Hits.

True RnB hits would be, for example:

Lionel Richie - Hello
Usher - Confessions
K-ci and Jojo - Crazy
Ray j - One wish

4) Club hits, whether it's a rapper or RnB artists, are tracks that people can groove to. Because we can't categorise these hits into a proper category, we just automatically call them RnB.

For example:

Usher - Yeah
50 Cent - Candy Shop

see the difference? they are just club hits. they just talk about issues, about sex and partying or whatever. They rely on the beats more than their lyrics. Many artists release club hits because they want to boost record sales. Club hits, are popular in clubs and pubs because they give the crowd a sensation to move, enjoy and break free. No one would want to listen to a love song or to a song that doesn't have a very high up-beat in a club. This is why many artist release club hits.

*To me, some hip-hop artists that release club hits, are sell-outs. They forget the meaning of hip-hop and what they were rapping for. Now they just care about how much money they make, where they stand on the charts and which award are they going to receive.*

- So which type of music do you prefer?

For me, it's Hip-hop and RnB. Club Hits are great for a night out in the town, love it!

-

Many people in Asia, don't enjoy listening to Hip-hop music. Asians in Canada and US, enjoy hip-hop because they can understand where the artist is coming from. They've seen, heard or experienced these hardships that are being said in a true hip-hop tune. it's a shame, that hip-hop and RnB music, isn't being enjoyed by a good majority of Asians in Asia.

Many opt for trance, techno or dance. I find the technique to produce these types of music, fascinating, but too much for me, is killer. I admit i use to be a fan, but only when i was high. Now, it's just a bunch of noise, with no meaning. Don't get me wrong, I have no disrespect for the producer or listeners of these styles of music, but i find i just find it hard to cope with. Maybe you may feel the same for Hip-hop or RnB music, it's truely understandable.

I hope you get a better understanding about what the differences are between the styles of music discussed.

For now, i'm out! respects! peace!

P.S. There are alot of slangs that i've lost. I miss talking in slangs, dammit! lol! With people in Canada, it was easy and fun to talk with slangs, cuz most adults wouldn't understand. It also, puts you on a different social level! haha! (just wanted to add this in) if you wanna learn, i can teach...please please please? haha! i'm desperate! lol!

Insult to trainers

Okay here's the case..

we have a new trainer in Shatec. I won't disclose his name for personal reasons.

He is smart, interlectural and well educated. He has a number of qualifications, including a bachelor in marketing and a degree in accounting.

Though his lectures are informative and interesting, he as an individual, is probably the worst i've come by. A person with his type social status, should not be cocky, and especially, racial and discriminating. Yes, he does, in someway, have the right to be cocky in front of his students. However, no one has the right to look down, and furthermore, talk down on other races and countries, especially the way he does.

I despised him the first day i met him because he wouldn't stop praising himself, for example, where he has travelled and taught. Okay! once or twice was fine, but everytime he starts talking about a place he has been to in Asia, he has to give a negative comment.

After a few lessons, i was okay with him. I got use to the way he talks and teaches. I even helped him with issues with his computer.

But today, the way he talked to one of my classmates, was just out of hand. My classmate is from Myanmar, and it may not be the best place in the world to live but it's better than many countries/cities around. This student happened to say something at the wrong time. Though what he said wasn't rude or anything, he still got kicked out of the classroom.

The trainer kept calling him Burmese (the type of race from Myanmar) instead of his name. Yes, i admit, i to am guilty of doing that, but i'm not rude about it. The way he talked about the country and him, was very disappointing. He kept saying things like, 'you come from myanmar and you don't know how to catch a grasshopper?' and 'your the worst Burmese i've seen.

He is an insult to trainers everywhere!

Comments like this can really hurt an individual, yet alone, the rest of the fellow Burmese students in my class. I see a man with such brains and talents, but his personality just ruins it. He is a man that may claim he isn't racial or dispising, but it is surely clear that he is.

Besides the fact of making fun of Myanmar students, he likes to pick on the Indonesian and Chinese (China) community as well. These countries are not up to standard, like how Singapore is, but he has no right, to discriminate. If the tables were turned, i'm pretty sure he wouldn't want people to talk bad about his race and country.

He, as a trainer, must respect each and every student with dignity and class. Whatever he chooses to say outside of class is his own problem. What he brings in the classroom, really bothers the rest of my classmates, i'm sure.

If i were him, i would learn to respect people for who they are and where they come from. I'm just surprised he hasn't been beat to death by his comments. I'm sure we are not the only ones hearing his disrespectful thoughts.

I really can't stand the things that come out of his mouth sometimes. It's just so bothering and no one really wants to talk back because he is a trainer. No student now, would want to jeporadize their final semster, i'm sure.

Okay...just needed to get that off my chest. I couldn't take it anymore. It's so saddening that after years of fighting racisim and peoples rights, that there is still an individual like him. so sad....

i'm out peace!

excelsior

i just remembered about this seminar that we, as Shatec students, were invited to a few months back. The seminar was called Excelsior (http://www.excelsior.com.sg/main.htm). It was a seminar on Food and Beverage. It was quite delightful, as i remember. The talks, some inspirational and some not, were quite informational.

and might i add that the buffet served on that day was very nice. Claps around to the Chefs at Orchard Hotel. We all know, most buffets aren't that good, due to the fact that they cook in, well, bulk. This was a special case, cuz they did do a great job. They've had to, if i can still remember their buffet, haha!

Anyhoo, I decided to search for their website to see if the photos that we took that day were uploaded or not. And man, am i glad i checked..

here it is..(might i remind you, i was super bored)

haha thomas looks...uh..well..weird lol!

That's it..i'm off to bed..peace!

Not much to update..

over the past week i had a stiff neck and now my back is sore.

it feels like one big ass bruise on my back and ppl just keep on hitting me. Damn, i'm not angry though. I mean it's not their fault or anything.

anyhoo..

we had a CTIS (Course tutor interaction session) on sat. We went to East Coast Park for a BBQ. I like BBQ's..but not with so much ppl and i like my bbqs more, American (lol).

the night was a fun get together. It will be our last time as a class and when attachment starts, who knows, we may never see each other again...or atleast for awhile.

After the BBQ, alan, elliott, xiumin, amy, susanna, siti and I went to Party World KTV @ Orchard. WHOA! it was so fun. the night was spectacular, expecially at the end, when welliott, alan and i played jitz.

It's been such a long time since i've played, about 3 years now. it felt so good to put my hands on a table again. I didn't know i still had the talent to play, though i'm not the best, but i think i can smoke most of the ppl here! haha!

This dog is old , huge and horny for Thomas. You should have seen the hard-on it gave when he saw Thomas haha.

Bored at the BBQ, lol...Styrofoam Man!

Bored in class, Plastic Man!

giddiness

i read a post that..well..somewhat moved me!

i refer to alan's post on Jan 30th 2007...(http://watdefish.blogspot.com)

"Dear Richie,

I am saddened to have come to understand that by talking about my problems brought you a lot of sad memories of the past. But hey, if not for those hard knocks, would you still be here? Would I still have picked you to talk about it? Would it have made you, you today?

Listening is a skill not honed by many people. It takes effort to be able to listen and emphatise with a person. You may feel he/she is wrong, but you have to accept it, and that takes a certain level of endurance to be able to understand things that are not seen from your point of view.

A normal person would probably not have the knowledge and experience to offer good advices, and even if they did, they'd probably be too lazy to help. But see, Richie, you come from the other side if earth, and a totally different culture. There are problems that are unresolved in our Asian culture so when you offer your point of views, which are a good mix of eastern and western culture, allowed me to see things and problems in a new light, and that offers me alternatives to solve a difficult problem.

And I appreciate it, be it just by listening to me, or offering me advice, or both.

Richie, we may play a lot in class or when we are outside, but when it comes to the serious stuffs, you are really up for it and you adapt well to seriousness, especially when it comes to personal problems. I can assure you that this is also the reason why even your friends' mothers will approach you and talk to you about their kids. I hope you will never change and remain like this forever, and someday, when it is time, you'd get yourself a good girl who will love you like you love her. This is an asset that not many people possess.

I truly believe that you were concerned and was ever ready to sit down (although you had to stand up the whole night that night) to listen to me ramble my head off.

I really appreciate your effort Richie. I am glad I have a friend like you. Yeah, screw cheesiness man, I am serious. I'll be sure to return the favour as much as I can too.

Thank you very Richie, for chatting with me that night."

I swear this e-mail gave me a tingly feeling and i couldn't stop laughing!

lol..i felt like someone just practically read right through me. it's just weird for someone to talk about you, like the way alan did! weird no doubt, but respectable.

I can truly say, from the bottom of my heart, that alan is a friend i cherish and i will try my best to keep him in my life.

During attachment, most of us will lose contact with each other, but i hope that most of us can still remain close and meet up as much as possible. Alan would be no doubt 1 of the top few that i would never want to lose contact with.

thx alan, for your comments and post, it was much appreaciated!
it has not gone in vain..

hey u never know a girl may read that and think, "WOW there's such a guy? i want to know him" hahahaha! jokes!
____________________________________________________

School is dreadful, as usual. But it's not the studying or courses that are killer, it's the process of finding a hotel to do our attachment.

i'm applying to, mainly, 5 star hotels.

1) Swissotel
2) Meritus Mandarin
3) Sheraton Hotel
4) Marriott Hotel
5) Hyatt Hotel
6) Hilton Hotl
7) Fullerton Hotel

all very respectable hotels, in asia and most around the world!

i'm hoping to land Marriott or Fullerton, as they are well known in Canada/US, incase i choose to go back to the west in the future.

I know my chances may be slim, but i will never know until i try! i really hope to get any of the hotels, sign a contract and never worry about where to go next...atleast until i finish!

I have a question in my mind and i was wondering if i could get some feedback from y'all...

Should i choose to go to Macau to start a career in the future?

i have quite a number of reasons to go and many not to go..i'm confused!

I can: be a pioneer in a company, earn good money, possible get a promotion faster, most likely have hostel and food paid for, new environment and some other that i just can't think of right now.

or

I will end up: getting prostitutes every other day (lol), gamble my life away, get in to the black market (again), get conned, and anything that well, is pretty much, bad!

any suggestions?

but do note..the opportunities now are great. Macau is set to be bigger than las vegas within the next few years, if not, very near future.

who knows..i shall make my choice when i'm about to finish off my attachment.

sadness

[Song] Shayne Ward - You're Not Alone

an event happened on saturday which was, sad to say, saddening.

my friend, alan, has just broken up with his girlfriend. The incident went very well i might say, having both parties agree that there were issues between them both.

It's just sad to hear 2 people breaking up. It reminded me of many many things. for example the days when rejection came in to my life and when fear of woman developed.

it's never good to hear about people leaving each other and what nots. I feel sorry for him, yet glad at the same time. sad that they aren't together anymore, to share the joys of what couples do and glad that he doesn't bare his lost thoughts anymore.

Though 2 people may not be together, i hope they can still be friends because it just isn't worth losing someone and losing a friend at the same time. life is too short to bare grudges and show hatred, why not live to happy.

anyhoo..

Alan, u know i'll always be here to talk if u need it.

take care bro!

Rai's Reception...

[Song] Frankie J feat. Mannie Fresh & Chamillionaire - That Girl

Alright folks...i just wanna make a quick shout out to my boy Rai.

CONGRATULATIONS for finding such a beautiful and sweet wife. I would like to thank you for all the great times we've had and let you know that the memories gained will not be in vain. I wish you and Angula many wonderful years ahead and may your family be blessed throughout eternity. Furthermore, HAVE LOTS AND LOTS of children! haha!

Take care in the future bro! when attachment starts, who knows when we shall meet again. Oh, and make sure you be a good husband, i don't Angula coming up to me telling me that i've taught you bad things lol!

Now on to the weekend...

Saturday, was the gathering for Rai's Reception Dinner. He has officially signed his ROM (Registration of Marriage) last week, and it's official. My boy Rai is now married.

We had of evening of food, dance and drinks. Just delightful. The food was amazing and the dance was entertaining. It was sad that the event came to an early end. Too bad Rai didn't really want to drink, if not it would have been a blast. I guess he's showing the rest of his family that he is a capable husband lol.

I have nothing but happiness for Rai. He has found himself a smart, hardworking wife. Oh, and might i add that she is also very beautiful and she knows how to work the dance floor.

Rai was my first friend since school started, and i'm grateful to have him by myside. I wish him nothing but the best.

*pictures*

Cutting the wedding cake..so sweet!

Pouring the fake champagne haha!

The million dollar shot! oh man...this is so sweet!

Elliott, Liang, Rai, Anjula, Jude and I!

Thomas, Rai, Angula, Me and Liang!

Me and Liang enjoying the wonderful food!

After the reception...

Liang, Jude, Gen, Elliott and Thomas headed down to St. James Power Station, Power House.

Oh man..once i walked into the club my whole mood just changed. I wanted to have a good time, i really did but i couldn't. I didn't really drink either.

This bothered me all day on sunday. I kept thinking to myself, what happened lastnight? why was i so bored?

This wasn't me..i know i usually try to make the best of any situation but i really couldn't put myself to do so.

I came up with 3 possiblities:
1) the music sucked and it just spoiled my mood
2) i feel clubbing isn't my thing anymore and the mood just isn't there
3) I'm aging too fast, which means i feel old

whatever the possiblities, i'm truely sorry to my friends for putting on a frown the whole night through.

When i reached home, i was so happy and i even had the strength to continue my HK TVB dramas lol! oh man..i think i'll only club, if my friends opt to go to a hip-hop joint!

that's it for now...peace!

MAS airlines!

I had to skip school ytd cuz of my dad. He wanted me to go down to Malaysia airlines to help him check out something asap. He called at 8am. i made my way down at around 11am and i was stuck there for 2 hours.

You ask, why would i be held up at MAS airlines offices for 2 hrs? well let me tell you...

First, the lady couldn't find the reservation. Fine, no problem. I told her to try various other combinations, incase i heard wrongly. It took half an hour and we still couldn't find it. She was frustrated, as was I. I tried to call my dad several times but I just couldn't seem to find him. FINALLY, we managed to fine the reservation and it happen to be that my reservation number was CORRECT. She kept insisting that my reservation was wrong, and i believed her. She turned the issue to be my fault at the end, saying i was unclear!

oh man, you can just imagine how frustrated i was.

Never mind, I didn't let this get to me, as i know sometimes people make mistakes and what not. After, discussing the situation with her, she told me it's impossible to to put my father on a waiting list because there is no list. I was shocked. If there's no list, then can't you make one? i mean, normally that's what the procedure would be.

Still, i was not showing any form of anger. Until she told me that she had to go for lunch and asked me to come back in an hour.

i told her straight up "WHAT THE HELL? YOU HAVE YET TO FINISH MY SITUATION AND YOU CAN STILL TELL ME TO COME BACK AFTER YOU ENJOY YOUR PRECIOUS LUNCH BREAK?"

she showed no me no sense of hospitality, gave alot of attitude and her facial expression was just unforgettable.

Fuck if i care if you need to eat, i was thining to myself. Finish up the situation at hand then we could both go. Fnally, after discussing the issue, she decided that she would put my dad on the waiting list. So, i asked her, you are authorized to make a waiting list? and she replied "uh, ya of course, why not?"

OH MAN!! i was so ANGRY!

this girl wasted 2 hrs of my time, first by blaming me that i didn't give her the right reservation number. Secondly, by saying she couldn't put my dad on the waiting list and lastly, trying to leave me hanging until she finishes her lunch!

what was i suppose to do? i made a complain to the manager. the manager was nice and sympathetic. i really do hope they teach her how to deal with customers, if not, she will suffer in this industry.

to sum it all up: the service was horrible and i hope she bucks up, if not then i hope she gets fired ASAP!

movies

Just recoverd from my 5 days of shitting! i literally blew 3 kgs worth of shit out of my ass lol...i don't know if i should be worried..or scared...anyhoo..atleast i'm fine now..

i didn't do much this weekend except i caught a movie with sam @ west mall..

i'm not sure what to blog about..so i'll tell you the movies i've seen and the dramsa i'm chasing!

TVB dramas..

first off...Dicey Business. I watched a bit of this in HK and so i thought i should catch the whole drama cuz it seems so interesting. I'm almost done watching, still waiting for the rest to be released in singapore.I wasn't wrong. This drama, at first, was a tad boring, but it got better. It's talking about gambling and a guy with special talents. A must watch for gambling fanatics.

My rating: 8/10

secondly, Forensic Heros. I'm also still in the midst of watching but so far so good. It's like a chinese version of CSI but not as good, i would say. If you do like CSI though then i'm sure you'll like this drama. Some parts will really get you on the edge of your chair.

Rating: 9/10

Heavenly Mission: This movie was a big disappointment. I thought it would be like a gang movie or something but i think all they did was talk. I nearly fell asleep watching this flick lol. The story is a bit interesting, but it's just not for me. And to think i actually spent 12 bucks purchasing this movie..argh..

Rating: 5/10

One Last Dance: I don't know what made me think this movie was gonna be good. I mean it's stated as a art film. Damn, i got scammed yet again. The killing was good, the story was...well..weird. i didn't get it. i guess this movie should just stick with artsy ppl. it's not for the dumb-witted, simple minded ppl. On a bright note..Francis Ng performed extremely well and it was filmed in SG (woopie dooo lol...sarcasism if you didn't notice).

Rating: 6/10

Nothing is Impossible: This movie was FUNNY! it's about a girl seeking revenge, so she learns to 'chai mui.' i don't know how to put it in english. Basically, she learns to play drinking games eg 5/10 and dice. Funny and easy to undrerstand. If you don't wanna think and just laugh this is the film for you.

Rating: 8/10

Fatal Contact: wicked movie. the fighting was good the story was twisted and it was funny. What more can you ask for? Ronald Cheng did well in this movie. There was one scene i couldn't stop laughing. If you watch it, you may feel the same.

Rating: 9/10

Exiled: I think this is anohter artsy film, not too sure, but it wasn't that bad of a film. If you have nothing to do, then this is something you can pass your time with. It's a gangster film, but their high class lol.

Rating: 7.5/10

Underground Operation (Wo Hu): Another gangster film. I was a bit disappointed but of all the stars in this film, i thought it would be amazing. Yet again i was let down. Some parts were cool, but it was mostly talking.

Rating: 7.5/10

that concludes my movies review. Hope you have time to check some of them out! peace!

dad and others!

[Song] Ronald Cheng - ç„¡è³´
(just feeling the beat and lyrics of this song, so i decided to share it with y'all...hope you enjoy it!)

Okay first off...

this is a photo of me and my dad! do we look alike? haha alot of ppl say we do, which may be true, but our personalities are not. We do enjoy the same pleasures, e.g. shopping and girls but the way we do things are completely different. In a way, to me, i think we are complete opposites. I may just be saying this because i don't want to end up like him...hm..who knows..i just know that i will always do what i want, whenever i want, without anyones consent.

anyhoo...as most of y'all know, my dad is with his girlfriend, Ivy. It feels weird not to have my mom with my dad in the same house. I hate the feeling. Though Ivy is a nice person and she did most of the chores around the house, she can never replace my mother.

my dad and Ivy are now in malaysia somewhere. I believe they will be coming back on sat and leaving on sunday, not too sure yet.

here are some pros and cons about my dad and his girlfriend being here...

lets start with the pros..

1) cleaned my house
2) did the laundry
3) paid for everything we did
4) bought me some stuff, like clothes and dvds
5) gave me a new cell phone
6) gave me a new digi cam
7) made home cook meals
8) made real bird nests

cons...

1) had to sleep in the living room w/o air-con
2) couldn't smoke freely
3) everything at home was moved around
4) gave me headaches cuz he was complaing about small things
5) can't walk very long..which ended our shopping sprees early
6) wouldn't buy me the stuff i wanted (e.g. polo tee shirt @ S$70.00)
7) would spend any amount on him and gf
8) complained about everything i wore and picked out
9) late night sleeping
10) doesn't know how to contorl his time
11) killed my electricity for the month

as you can see, there are more cons then pros. you may think i'm selfish for saying all the cons because some of the pros can make up for them. Your wrong!

i hate people, especially my father, invading in my private space. If i had a girlfriend or wife, it would be another case, but the way my dad does things sometimes can really get on my nerves. i'm not a really a picky person, just someone that likes how things are and doesn't like change. I happen to hate change by the way.

on a brighter note, he is leaving soon and i won't have to worry anymore. I kind of wish my mom was here. Though, i really do hate my parents for the past things they've done to me, i still need to show some form of respect to them. I mean they did raise me to be the person i am today, which i am most grateful for, but the memories they left scared in my thoughts will never be forgiven.

anyways...on to anohter topic...my friend Rai!

Rai just got married about a month back in India.

don't they look so sweet? haha!

I love wedddings, be it chinese, indian or other races. The joy of 2 people coming together, the procedures and excitement of weddings really makes me happy. Out of everyone i know, i think i am the most excited and happiest one of them all (for rai).

Rai has been one of my best friends in Shatec and I thank him. He's kept me entertained and never fails to make people laugh. Now that he is attached, forever (haha) i can feel nothing but joy and happiness for him. His wife is a beautiful and charming young lady and lets hope Rai doesn't turn her into anything else haha!

He will be having a reception on the 20th of jan and i just can't wait for the day to come. I've actually been waiting for along time, believe it or not. I hope to have as much fun, food and booze as possible haha!

what i'm most looking forward to is, how indians hold their weddings. I'm so into learning about new cultures and traditions. I hope to learn alot about the indian culture, and let's hope it won't be the first and only.

I hope everything goes well on the night and that everyone will have a great time.

To Rai..Congratulations and i wish you all the best for the years to come. remember to treat your wife good and have lots and lots of little rai's running around singapore haha!
To Angula..if rai treats you bad, let me know and i'll woop his ass for ya hah!

til next time...
peace!

just an update!

Okay time to blog…

I just got back from Sibu, Sarawak Malaysia just a few days back. My dad and his girlfriend are staying with me. I gotta tell you, the first day was enough!!

I can’t stand people getting in my life, especially the way they did! Omg! On the bright side though, my dad’s girlfriend cleaned up my WHOLE house for me haha! It’s like I hired a maid! Lol! I know I’m so bad, but whatever!

I CAN’T WAIT FOR THEM TO LEAVE!!!!!! God dammit!! I think they are gonna be here til Sunday..ARGH!!!!

Anyhoo..

The trip was better than I expected. I was able to do what I wanted, cuz my dad was so busy spending time with my grandma. I was able to drive myself around and go wherever I wanted. Haha the feeling of driving after 2 years is just amazing. I thought I was gonna be locked up with my dad the entire trip…luckily I wasn’t!

Got to hang out with my cousins and be a big brother. I love the feeling of watching over the young, it gives me a feeling I can’t describe. The weird part about the trip was drinking with my uncles, aunts and dad. We went to a pub for my cousin’s b-day and that was weird. To top it off, on New Year’s Eve we went to a club, and I danced with my dad…that was the ultimate and weirdest shit ever!

Overall I give the trip a 6 out of 10..cuz I didn’t get to smoke a lot and I wasn’t able to sleep much..it kind of ruined my holiday. On top of that, I don’t really like hanging out with old folks, if ya know what I mean..! lol..i’m the worst son/grandson ever!

On to other stories..

I just flipped through Alan’s Blog and came across a post that I found…interesting!

Here’s what it wrote..
“So did Richie. A glimpse into the world and culture of a Chinese born Canadian has shown me so much about the other side of the world. We often forget that there are shitloads of people out there who aren't Chinese you know. I wouldn't have a clue of what their lives are truly about if it weren't for Richie. A big lesson learnt. Richie's character is interesting. Initially, I had problems trying to relate to him and understand his actions because he is quite forgiving and easy going. Hardly gets angry even if he is really provoked. Took me a while to understand after he explained the Canadian culture to me. I've only seen him down once, and it was only for a week, which is quite respectable actually. Then, as a leader of a group, he has been very responsible and willing to sacrifice as well. The things he has done quietly, the money he has spent, the long hours he spent past midnight just to take some load of our shoulders, and impress our trainers is just unimaginable. No one really thanked him, no one really gave him a pat on the shoulders, but I am aware. I may not have spoken, but Richie will be one of the guys who has been very influential. Thanks for your sacrifice, brother.”

Okay..when I read this I was just like…uh…then I read it again! I was touched to hear that what I learned, my thoughts and beliefs were able to help someone. This is the greatest accomplishment anyone can receive. I thank you alan for allowing me to know that I have made some sort of difference in your life! And also, making me sound so good as a group leader hahaha!

On to the GOOD STUFF folks..!
